BZSUPPORT: Visual age port

I was wondering if anyone has got a working version of blitz built
with Visual Age 4.0. I saw a few messages on the mailing lists dated
in 1998 that said IBM were looking into some problems; were these
ever resolved?
Does anyone out there have blitz working efficiently on an IBM RS6000
chip? I am working on an SP2 system, but my trials of blitz with the
gnu and KAI compilers were disappointing. Neither seems to be able to
take advantage of the power2 chip architecture, which leaves Blitz
trailing xlf90 (Fortran) by around a factor 3 for some things.
